The last installment of the 2016-17 Conversation Kitchen series took place May 10 at the Anteater Recreation Center. Dozens of faculty, staff and students gathered around freshly prepared, traditional Mexican and Cuban dishes – including pozole, chicken and flan – to engage in stimulating conversation about the intersection of food, culture and community. The program, sponsored by the Chancellor’s Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture & Inclusion, has been wildly successful in its first year with full attendance at each scheduled event. Participants not only get a chance to discover new foods, but learn more about each other and the different heritages that make up the diverse Anteater community. Conversation Kitchen will return next academic year. Check the program website for program details and future updates.
