UCI Backpack Give Back

Help encourage disadvantaged youth to pursue higher education by taking part in the annual UCI Backpack Give Back. Now through Friday, June 30, Transportation & Distribution Services will be collecting new and lightly used backpacks in partnership with South County Outreach, an organization that helps families in crisis in southern Orange County. View a map with on-campus drop-off locations here (PDF). Faculty, staff and students also may fill out cards with encouragement and inspiration that will be placed in every backpack. To fill out an encouragement card, email engage@pts.uci.edu.

Behavioral Health Plan Satisfaction Survey

UC wants to know what you think about your university-sponsored behavioral health benefits. Beginning this week, a random sampling of people who used behavioral health benefits in 2016 through their UC-sponsored plan will receive a paper survey in the mail. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. DSS Research, an independent research firm, is conducting the survey, and all responses are anonymous and confidential. Your answers will never be matched with your name. Feedback collected will be used to help plan and shape offerings for future years.

UCI Is Smoke & Tobacco Free

Help spread the word that UCI is smoke and tobacco free! If you notice any “hot spots” where smokers congregate, please tell us by filling out the smoke-free feedback form and an ambassador from the Smoke and Tobacco Free Policy Task Force will visit the location. Click here for more information on the policy as well as information on cessation resources.
