In January, UC’s PPO medical plans for employees and retirees without Medicare (Core, UC Care and UC Health Savings Plan) made a transition to new administrators for medical, behavioral health and prescription drug benefits. Unfortunately, issues related to this transition have made it difficult for some members to access their prescription drug benefits, leading to inconvenience and frustration. Please be assured that many people have been working diligently to correct enrollment errors, streamline the authorization process for prescriptions and improve the service UC’s members receive. Learn more here.
Making sure you have named beneficiaries of your UC benefits and assets is important to be sure that they are left to the intended survivors. A beneficiary (PDF) is the person to whom benefits are payable in the event of your death. Even if you have completed beneficiary designations in the past, take the time to make sure the information is current. You can review your beneficiary selections through the At Your Service Online website (for UCRP, CAP, life insurance, AD&D) and/or through Fidelity NetBenefits (for retirement savings plans). Additional information is available in the survivor and beneficiary benefits handbook (PDF). Direct additional questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
